McKenna Clark

McKenna grew up learning ballet, jazz, and contemporary, stepping into the street styles scene later on. At only 19 years old, McKenna will be attending MRU in the fall for the Information Design program.

why do you love teaching dance?

Nothing compares to the excitement of watching someone learn to understand a groove. You really feel like you’re a part of that student’s journey and growth.

What is a fun fact no one knows about you?

I’m tall, but to be exact, I’m 6ft tall!

Why do you dance?

I dance because for a long time it was the only thing that would allow me to break out of my shell. Now I’m a lot less shy expressing myself authentically and unapologetically.

What is your favourite memory at pulse studios?

The first timed I subbed a class. I felt so joyful and humbled that I got to pass on knowledge that I had learned in the same studio not too long ago.
