Adwoa has been involved in dance for most of her life and has been trained in Jazz and Hip hop – Hip hop being her main focus of expertise. She’s taught competitive and recreational hip hop exclusively for the past 13 years at a variety of different studios in Calgary. Her dance career has given her many amazing opportunities some of which include performing and choreographing for many local and international artists including choreographing for the opening of Warren G, Ice Cube, and Nelly to name a few. In 2004 she became one of the youngest CFL Cheerleaders at the time to dance for the Calgary Stampeder Outriders. And currently is the head coach and choreographer for the MRU Cubs dance team. Her love for dance is paramount in her life and she strives to share that with everyone she comes in contact with. Aside from dance she loves spending time with family and friends.

why do you love teaching dance?

I love to share my love for dance and to unlock the potential of the dancers and see their progression. Also, it’s a way to keep re-inventing myself and to stay in the industry that’s been a big part of my life for so long.

What is a fun fact no one knows about you?

I backup danced in a Bollywood film once.

Why do you dance?

There is a certain thrill to it that you can’t get from anything else. I also love the form of creative expression it provides and also keeps me physically active.

What is your favourite memory at pulse studios?

N/A haven’t been there long enough to make memories ;)
