Voguing & Waacking

Waacking is a dance form that emerged from Los Angeles around the funk and disco eras. Soul train lines showcased dancers that combined wild swinging arms, freezes and rapid spins that accentuated the music. This dance allows you to create a persona – to express yourself and let yourself go.

Vogue or voguing is an east coast dance influenced by dancers who imitated model-like poses on the dance floor. Originally from Harlem, New York City you can also recognize voguing through linear and rigid movements involving the arms, legs, and torso.
