DangerKat is a rare breed of artist, whose work fuses dance, wearable art, music and choreography. Her aesthetic vision has earned her a visual arts and contemporary dance BFA from the University of Calgary (CAN), and her performance art has graced the stages of Paris, London and New York Fashion Week for designers Jeremy Scott, Vivienne Westwood, Nova Dando and Parisian concept store Colette. She’s traveled the globe performing alongside La Roux, Santigold, Diplo, A-Trak and Doug E. Fresh, while teaching her own brand of dance throughout Europe, Russia, Canada and the US. In 2010, she established her own Dangerkat Dance Class in New York City and with its success, has began a collaboration with the Brooklyn Museum. Her company House of Dangerkat (HOD) have been guest performers at both Paris and Helsinki Juste Debout Festivals, as well as Hip Hop International Russia, where Dangerkat has judged battles and instructed master classes. In addition to founding HOD, she’s DJ’d personally for the likes of Madonna and Alicia Keys, and is currently an actor/aerialist/DJ in the Broadway smash hit Fuerza Bruta, recently starring Usher.
