BATTLE CITY YYC FINALS – City Wide Breaking Competition

Congrats to the the Battle City YYC team! Thanks to all the support from public votes they will be receiving funding from GIGYYC!!!
It’s been an exciting few weeks as teams gear up for the big Battle on November 10. Each team consists of twelve dancers three of which are coaches. Coaches were appointed to represent each quadrant of the city and select their teams through a series of qualifiers early this Fall. Co-founder and owner Vince Truong (People’s Militia) along with his fellow coaches Bboy Gomo (Floor Wookies) and Mode (Original Rudes) have been working closely with their team to get the NorthEast in tip top condition for battle day religiously practicing at Pulse every week.
Other teams have also been getting together at the studio; each team has the ability to book their very own private sessions as Pulse has been sponsoring studio time so that teams can practice for free.

Battle City YYC is an ALL-AGES, FREE event for both spectators and competitors. If you missed the qualifiers make sure you check out the FINALS! The competition will be judged by three Canadian pioneers special guest judges Calgary’s own Bboy Clip (Original Rudes), (Boobjester Dangerous Goods Crew, Winnipeg) and Benzo (Bag of Trix, Toronto).
